The CTTC Valley Chapter released the following information on June 22, 2021 re: their Friday, July 16, 2021
meeting at 7:00 PM PDT.
California reopened June 15th which means we FINALLY will be able to have an in-person meeting...!!! We've all been communicating via email, texts, or phone
calls, plus Zoom for monthly meetings for the last year and a half. It's time to come and hang out together again..!!
July is traditionally our "members show and tell" meeting, which this year will be on Friday July 16th, the 3rd Friday of the month. Start time will likely
be at 7pm, to give time to eat and socialize. We have a lot of "catching up" to do....!! At this meeting, members bring their turtles and tortoises and
share experiences with them, funny stories, or just some "bet you didn't know" tidbits of interesting facts about that species.
This meeting, like most of our summer meetings, is held on the patio, and there is ample room to spread out and provide "social distancing" for everyone's
comfort, if we need to still provide that. Hopefully by then, everyone who wishes to, will have been vaccinated, which makes things much easier. We have
conferred with the church on how they are currently doing gatherings, and even though things are supposed to be fully open and restrictions could be removed
by the time of our meeting, it was recommended to bring a mask and have it handy, just in case. And as customary, since we have our shelled friends with us,
there will be plenty of hand sanitizer available. Most restrictions have gone away, but some may still be in place, so we will keep you updated on changes
in the State, County, and City requirements for "gatherings".
Good food and friendly turtle/tortoise conversation are the biggest "fun" parts of the meeting, but we will also have a members' raffle..!! We haven't
been able to hold our show the last 2 years, so there are a number of raffle prizes that were donated prior to the 2020 pandemic mess. Unlike other prices
that are going up, raffle tickets will still be $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. No inflation here..!!
So, Save the Date and mark your calendars.....!!!! CTTC Valley Chapter is fully back on July 16th..!!!!!
Please let us know if you are planning to attend
