The CTTC Valley Chapter released the following information Oct. 15, 2021 re: their Friday, Oct. 15, 2021
meeting at 7:00 PM PDT via Zoom.
The Reeves Turtle
Bob Hazard and Jeannine Porter will present a program on the Reeves' Turtle. It's similar to a Painted turtle and a Box Turtle, but
it's not. We will revisit his "hinge". The Reeves' is also a fairly popular turtle to have as a pet. Jeannine briefly shared her Reeves
with our chapter during the Annual August BBQ and Sharing event. We'll learn more about this creature and see why Jeannine feels he is special.
Preparing for Brumation
It's October and your turtles and tortoises are getting ready for their winter slumber. This Friday, we will also be covering the
various tips and precautions so that your chelonians have a safe brumation!
See you all this Friday evening at 7:00 pm! Next month, we will attempt to conduct an in-person and/or a hybrid (both in-person and via Zoom).
