On Feb. 17, 2021 the Valley Chapter CTTC Team released the following info:
Exotic Variety Comes to County Animal Care Centers
You are probably aware that our county animal shelters take in more than just dogs, cats, and rabbits. But did you know that they also occasionally receive some rather exotic animals too! This is one reason that two of our CTTC chapters have built tortoise and turtle holding enclosures for the animal care centers – to properly house tortoises and turtles. But wait, there's more! Sierra Kirkpatrick, a professional Animal Care Attendant at the Los Angeles County Animal Care Center in Agoura Hills, will give us a presentation this Friday evening on several of the rather unusual creatures she has experienced in her career.
Sierra came to Agoura Hills from the Animal Care Center in Castaic where she helped our sister chapter build their turtle and tortoise enclosure. She also happens to be a member of our Valley Chapter! Let's be sure to join in this Friday at 6:40 for some social time before her presentation at 7 PM.
To receive an invitation and instructions on how to join the Zoom session you must be a CTTC member. You can join the Valley Chapter Here.
